Seasonality
Seasonality measures the months your park is open and how much occupancy changes throughout the year. It is an indicator of what kind of park you operate, and is important in matching you to a comp set with similar operating seasons.
Seasonality profiles
| Profile | What it describes |
|---|---|
| Year-round | Occupancy is relatively stable throughout the year |
| Summer seasonal | Peaks through summer, with a drop in winter |
| Winter seasonal | Peaks through winter, with a drop in summer |
| Shoulder seasonal | Spring and fall peaks, with softer summer and winter |
| Highly seasonal | A short operating window, and full closures during some seasons |
Edge cases
Extending your season. A park pushing from four months to seven changes profile once the new months are actually trading, not when the gate opens.
Weather. Occupancy in any given month can vary based on weather events. We average across all of your park data to help reduce off-season weather events from affecting your profile.
