Accommodation Mix
Accommodation mix measures the distribution of different types of accommodation in a park. It is a strong indicator of what kind of park you operate, and is important in matching you to a comp set with similar offerings.
Types of inventory
Every site OHR counts falls into one of three groups, taken from how your own system categorizes it.
RV
Every RV site. Full, partial, or dry hookups, pull-through or back-in.
Lodging
Anything built or semi-permanent. This includes cabins, park models, vacation rentals, yurts, and canvas or glamping units.
Tent
Traditional tent sites, primitive sites, and hike-in or walk-in sites.
Accommodation profiles
| Profile | What it describes |
|---|---|
| RV pure | Primarily RV sites — a traditional RV park |
| RV with amenity lodging | RV-primary, with cabins or glamping as a secondary offering |
| RV and lodging hybrid | A mix of RV guests and lodging guests alike |
| Lodging forward | A cabin or glamping resort that also takes RVs |
| Tent dominant | A traditional campground where tent camping is the main product |
| Mixed camping | Diverse lodging options, with no single accommodation type dominating the park's inventory |
Edge cases
Adding Sites. Building new sites can move you into a new profile. Data is pulled daily and your comp set is constantly rebuilt to match. This means you can start being measured against parks that have different accommodation mixes if yours changes over time.
Sites you do not sell overnight. Storage lots, staff sites, and anything not sold as lodging are left out of the mix entirely.
